Andrew Landers Spray Workshop
By admin • Apr 16th, 2010 • Category: NewsDo You Have Questions on Vineyard Spraying?
If you are a new or established grape grower, you have an opportunity to learn from one of the experts in vineyard spray application technology. Andrew Landers, an application technology specialist from Cornell University, will present a one-day short course on effective spraying of vineyards. This event is geared for both large and small vineyard operators and will cover a number of topics (please see the brochure) below. The program is limited to 24 participants and includes breakfast, lunch, and educational material and only costs $20.00. Since registration is limited, once you register by sending in the enclosed registration form (please see the brochure), you will be notified of the location of the program. The program will be conducted at a vineyard in the Door/Kewaunee County area.
This is your chance to learn how to effectively calibrate and apply pesticides effectively, using handheld vineyard sprayers to large air-blast vineyard sprayers. With the cost of pesticides increasing, come learn to effectively get the most out of your pesticide products, while protecting human health and the environment.
One of the goals of this workshop is to reduce pesticide use in vineyards by using and applying pesticides more effectively. Therefore to measure the success of this workshop we would like to use your pesticide use records. These records will be kept strictly confidential and your name will never be associated with any documents or correspondence. Please see the brochure for more details.
